Data Architect

Responsibilities:

• Design and supervise the implementation of scalable and efficient data models that integrate data from multiple sources.
• Define best practices, patterns, and templates for data engineering processes.
• Establish data governance frameworks, access policies, and security protocols.
• Ensure optimal storage, retrieval, and processing of large-scale datasets.
• Architect solutions for both streaming and batch data ingestion, transformation, and model updates.
• Implement automated data validation, anomaly detection, and proactive resolution of issues.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and AI/ML teams to ensure the architecture aligns with business requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive architectural documentation and mentor engineers to promote knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in Azure-based data platforms and Databricks.
• Deep knowledge of Databricks (primary tool), Delta Lake, and Apache Spark.
• Experience with dimensional, relational, and NoSQL data models.
• Solid background in data policies, lineage, and ensuring compliance.
• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse, Azure SQL, and Event Hubs.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Terraform, Kubernetes/AKS, and Docker for infrastructure automation.
• Strong ability to define strategy, mentor engineers, and drive the adoption of best practices.
• Exceptional skill in creating and maintaining clear and detailed architectural documentation.
